Future Realty and Development’s Experience
Future Realty and
Development (Future) was formed at Fort Myers in 1987
and currently represents over 40 years experience in
the real estate, construction and development industry,
combining the experience of Future Realty Services,
Inc., and Lucas Construction, Inc. in all aspects of
the development process. Don Lucas serves as Projects
Manager for Future.
Since 1972 the experience
gained from Future Realty Services, Inc. and Lucas
Construction, Inc. has provided Future the background to
specialize in the acquisition, permitting and marketing
of Commercial, Industrial and Residential Development
Properties, with an emphasis on well located vacant land
properties having environmental, land use designation,
rezoning and other development issues. We target
properties ranging in size from one acre, up to one
hundred acres.
Lucas Construction, Inc. (LCI)
began its operation at Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1979, as
a utility contractor constructing water, sewer and storm
drainage systems for clients including local home
builders, the City of Stillwater and Oklahoma State
University. As a State qualified Oklahoma Department of
Transportation General Contractor, LCI constructed
several structures in the State of Oklahoma County
Bridge construction program. From 1981 to 1987, LCI
performed construction development services for
commercial and industrial parks owned by Future Realty
Services, Inc.
In 1983 the US Department
of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) selected Oklahoma
as the site, the Oklahoma Manufactured Housing
Association as the Sponsor and Don Lucas as the
developer for the Nation’s second Affordable Housing
Demonstration Project combining reduction in local
governmental development regulations with a mixture of
manufactured housing, modular homes and site built homes
in the same housing project.
From 1971 through 1987 Don
owned, managed, constructed and marketed small lot
commercial parks, industrial parks, rental properties,
mobile home parks and mobile home subdivisions, as well
as owning and operating a water and sewer distribution
company with 420 customers.
Don is a 1972 graduate of
Oklahoma State University with a business degree and a
major in Accounting. From 1964 to 1968 during a four
year enlistment in the US Army, Don was assigned to the
Pentagon for two years with responsibilities including
reviewing and editing government and military
regulations that established manpower and equipment
needs within the military structure, from Company to
Division level.
